Dispatch is VS plugin that helps you keep track of the files that need to be uploaded - all from within the comfort of the Visual Studio IDE. Tailored for ASP.NET projects, Disatch increases productivity by taking the hassle out of deployment.

Dispatch is designed for web developers that don't need a build server to deploy their projects. If you use In-Place compilation or Web Application Projects, Dispatch is ideal when it comes time to sync your changes. Stop fiddling with your FTP application and deploy intelligently with Dispatch.

Uploading files is as easy as checking boxes and clicking a button/kb cmd. Or if you'd prefer to let Dispatch handle the task of determining which files need to be uploaded, no problem. Track modified files in realtime or do a file comparison-when you're ready to deploy - your choice, we're easy.

In short, Dispatch is stupid simple to use and will save you time. Are we little biased? You bet, so check out what these fine folks had to say:

Dispatch is like a drug, once you use it you'll never go back to using Visual Studio without it. It's smooth integration, remote view overlay feature and portable (even shareable) site/project configuration files [are my favorite features] and make working locally and remote a breeze. Simply put, Dispatch has become an essential tool when developing in Visual Studio.
Jeremy Helms - Jupiter Brain Corp. (Please note we don't condone drug use, but if you're going to overdose, do it with Dispatch)
I have never written a company praising their product in my life, swear to God. I am a Microsoft Certified App Developer and have used tons of VS plugins and tools. I have never had one product so drastically cut my work time as Dispatch. Dispatch has made quick fixes and updates a breeze to get published and keeps my clients happy. Thank you so much for developing this application - it really is amazing.

About those features

Seamless Integration with Visual Studio 2005/2008.

Visual Studio is a fantastic IDE but lacks a simple way to deploy incremental site updates via FTP. Dispatch bridges this gap, with a few bells and whistles.

Dispatch supports C# and VB web projects using In-Place compilation or Web Application Projects (WAP) on both Windows XP and Windows Vista. Dispatch also supports multiple web projects in a single solution, each with their own deployment configuration. Once you're in Visual Studio, stay in Visual Studio.

Configure. Deploy.

Configuring a project for deployment is pretty darn easy. Specify the FTP settings for your site and you're set. Optionally, you can configure file filters using wildcard patterns to filter out files that shouldn't be deployed.

Local connection string different from your production connection string? Use String Replacement to replace strings in any project file on-upload.

In addition to file-change tracking, Dispatch offers File Comparison at a per-directory level in two different modes, so you can quickly identify dirty files.

Remote Files, meet Local Files.

No need to break out your FTP client just to facilitate the remote files on your server. The Remote View Overlay feature fuses your remote file system directly on top of your local file system, giving an instant, clear overview of project inconsistencies.

Items that exist remotely can be downloaded, renamed and deleted. Remote-only items appear opaque and are noted with a red bullet. Items that exist locally-only are noted with a green bullet. Easy right?

Click. Upload. Move On.

As you do your thing, Dispatch will quietly monitor changes to files within your projects. When a file is added, renamed or updated, the file will be queued for upload. When you are ready to deploy, click the Upload button at the top and Dispatch will asynchronously transfer your files to your server, so you can keep on doin' your thing.

If you'd prefer not to have Dispatch monitor your files, no hard feelings. Disable this feature in Options and we'll leave the queuing to you.
